Medical Manipulation

Medical Manipulation is often referred to as animal chiropractic. When the bones of the spine or joints are not aligned correctly, the joint, muscle, nerve, connective tissue, blood flow, and function of an area can be affected. Medical manipulation involves the doctor to perform a motion palpation examination on your pet to detect and diagnose a restriction. This is an area of the body that has lost normal movement and could be causing discomfort or more. Often these restrictions can appear as gait abnormalities and stiffness, changes in mood or behavior, changes in urine or stool, wounds or hot spots on the skin, and changes in play and performance. By accurately locating and gently manipulating tissues around the spine or other joints in the body, the doctor can enhance mobility, relieve pain, improve circulation, and improve overall immune response.
