Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) is a method of practicing medicine that is thousands of years old. Unlike Western veterinary medicine, which focuses heavily on identifying specific physical causes and targeting individual diseased organs, TCVM views the body as a whole, interconnected system. It operates on the belief that disease occurs when there is an imbalance in the body’s vital energy—QI— or an imbalance of Yin and Yang. The primary goal of TCVM is to naturally restore the body's balance so it can heal itself.

Veterinary medicine has made, and continues to make, extraordinary advancements, with bold new diagnostic and treatment protocols becoming reality every day. Should Western diagnostics or treatments fail, TCVM— including acupuncture and herbals—can offer an established, recognized alternative. TCVM is legitimate and proven complementary therapy. While Western medicine is excellent for acute emergencies, surgeries, and identifying specific pathogens, TCVM is highly regarded for managing chronic conditions, mobility issues (like arthritis), allergies, skin and ear problems, seizures, urinary conditions, digestive problems, anxiety and other behavioral issues, and palliative/hospice care.
